On June 27, 2025, the commemoration of the 48th anniversary of Independence Day for the Republic of Djibouti was distinguished by a significant milestone in its relationship with the United States. Ambassador Mohamed Siad Doualeh presided over the celebration, which poignantly coupled the reflection on Djibouti’s national journey with the inauguration of the US-Djibouti Business Round Table. The dual event serves to highlight the deepening and evolving nature of the bilateral ties, building upon a strong strategic alliance to foster deeper commercial and investment connections for the years to come.
